Gravesend to Erith

QE2 Bridge On Sunday Tim completed around 10 miles up the Thames from Gravesend to Erith. Starting in the early evening to catch the rising tide, Tim made good progress for the day - averaging about 4mph.

A little over half way, the two namesakes met: Tim's bath, Lilibet II, is named after the same person as the M25 bridge in Dartford: Queen Elizabeth II.

Along the way Tim was cheered along by the crowds enjoying a cruise on the Princess Pocahontas.

There had been a bit of a headwind along the way, but this didn't slow Tim down too much; he'd been feeling good for the whole row. As the sun was setting he arrived safely in Erith.
